The Philodendron White Wizard is a stunning and rare climbing aroid prized for its striking variegated leaves. This plant thrives when given support, like a moss pole, to climb, making it a fantastic addition to any indoor plant collection. Increased light encourages more variegation, turning this plant into a true showstopper.

Why You’ll Love It: 🤍

  • Striking Variegation: Each leaf displays a beautiful mix of white splashes on a green background, making it a collector’s dream.
  • Climbing Growth: Provide a moss pole or other support to watch this plant thrive and climb.
  • Easy Care: With proper light and care, it’s easy to manage, making it ideal for plant enthusiasts.

Plant Care FAQs:

(More Detailed Regal Philodendron Plant Care & Propagation Care Guides)

  • Plant Type: Rare & Bratty. While it can be managed with proper care, its stunning variegation requires specific conditions to thrive, particularly bright, indirect light. Without adequate lighting or proper support (like a moss pole), the variegation may fade, and growth can slow. It also needs regular attention to prevent issues like leaf burn from too much sun or root rot from overwatering. So, while it's not overly difficult, it does require consistent care and attention, making it fussier than low-key or chill plants.
  • Common Name: Philodendron White Wizard
  • Botanical Name: Philodendron erubescens 'White Wizard'
  • Family: Araceae
  • Mature Size: Climbs and can grow several feet tall with proper care
  • Sun Exposure: Bright, indirect light; avoid direct sunlight
  • Water Requirements: Water when the top inch of soil is dry
  • Fertilizer: Feed monthly during the growing season
  • Soil Type: Well-draining, rich soil
  • Soil pH: Neutral to slightly acidic
  • Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested

Tea Pairing: 🍵

Pair your plant care with a calming cup of Lavender Tea. The soothing, floral essence of lavender complements the peaceful beauty of your White Wizard, turning your plant care routine into a relaxing ritual.

Plant Styling Tip: 🌟

Lean into contrast and elegance. Style White Wizard in a dark or high-gloss black planter to amplify its crisp white variegation and deep green leaves. Place it on a pedestal, plant stand, or shelf at eye level so each leaf can be admired like living art. Because it has an upright growth habit, a minimal moss pole or support keeps the look structured while letting the variegation take center stage.

⚠️ Please note: The plant you receive may not be the exact one pictured, but it will be of the same type and size. Each plant is unique! Expect natural variation in color, variegation, leaf shape, and size. Cosmetic blemishes are normal and do not impact plant health.

Toddler approved!
Format: Board book
My 2 year old loves this book! The pictures are beautiful, he's learned the names of all of the bugs, and it's a nice small size that's easy to read using one hand with my toddler in my lap before bedtime. I bought this when he was around 18 months old and it is still a hit.

Great book!
Format: Board book
I really like this book it includes: ladybug, bumblebee, praying mantis, firefly and (monarch) butterfly. So a good selection of bugs a small child is likely to experience in their yard or park in North America. For the photo board book aged children I really prefer that they discuss vocabulary that the child will be able to use to describe the world around them so I appreciate that most kids will see most of these bugs fairly easily and frequently. I did question the praying mantis since I see them much less frequently than the other bugs in the book but my husband said it is an exciting bug when kids do see it so he supports the choice--I think a fly or mosquito might have been a somewhat more useful choice as far as vocabulary our son could use most often. I liked that they did say the butterfly was a monarch but typically used butterfly so if a child lives where other butterflies are more common they learned the more general term. I think fireflies are less common in some regions but they are so magical as a small child that I think it is a good choice.
